Mounted on a naturally shaped slab of polished stone, white onyx, the plaque combines multiple bronze emblems finished with gold gilt arranged in a balanced, imperial composition. At the center is the French Imperial Eagle with outstretched wings, crowned and referencing ancient Roman authority, a powerful military symbol adopted by Napoleon I.
