The surface is deliberately textured with bubbles and distressed wear, with no active flaking. Drawer fronts show darker mottled accents over a lighter background, while the legs, sides, and top are finished in deeper tones for contrast.
The chest stands on gently tapered curved legs and features dovetail joinery. Distress is most visible along the edges, corners, and top, with minor cracks and scratches consistent with age and use. Drawer bottoms show typical minor cracking for a piece of this period.
