This rare miniature is made in authentic sterling silver and is hallmarked 925 which stands for Sterling Silver (925/000), together with traces of the Italian silversmith code. The modeling is surprisingly realistic for such a compact piece, with a detailed shell structure and a natural posture that gives it a true sculptural presence.
