The ornate carvings, curved shape, and the use of a marble top are all characteristic of the French Rococo (Louis XV) style, which was popular in the 18th century and widely reproduced in subsequent eras.
Material and Finish: The commode has a painted or "crème peinte" finish with gilded or gold-toned accents highlighting the decorative carvings. It is topped with a variegated white or pink marble slab.
Hardware: It features ornate brass or bronze handles and escutcheons (keyhole covers) with leaf and scroll motifs. It is my best educated guess that this was built in the 1920s however it could’ve been built much earlier.
