This set of five signed antique late 19th century (perhaps very early 1900's) hand colored etchings by the listed artist Alexander Mathieson McLellan RSW RSA (Scotland 1872-1957. The images depict Scottish sporting scsnes. Colorful and well drawn, great for a grouping in just about any room in home or office. Good -very good condition. Your framer can flatten your images in a vacuum press or you can do it at no cost by ironing the etchings between 2 towels with a warm iron,. Dimensions: 5.5" x 8".
Alexander Mathieson McLellan RSW RSA (Scotland 1872-1957) was a Scottish painter of urban and rural scenes in oil and watercolors. Well listed, he was a member of the Royal Society of Arts and Royal Society of Painters of Watercolors.
