An elegant tableware or bar accessory, a vintage pitcher (or carafe) crafted from a combination of fine materials.
Functionality and Design: The distinctive feature of this item is the internal ice cube tray (or cooling core). This compartment, inserted into the body of the pitcher, keeps drinks (water, white wine, juices, or cocktails) chilled without the ice melting in the liquid, thus avoiding watering it down. The body is crafted from crystal or heavy glass with a refined "Torchon" (spiral) design that creates pleasing light reflections and adds movement to the conical shape.
Materials and Brand: The frame (handle, lid, and neck) is made of silver-plated metal. The handle is engraved with the "SHERATON" mark, synonymous with quality silverware and home decor (often made in Italy or England in the mid-20th century). The handle design is flat and modern, typical of the 1960s and 1970s.
Technical Details and Condition:
· Type: Ice Pitcher / Cooling Carafe
· Brand: Sheraton (engraved on the handle)
· Materials: Crystal/Fused Glass, Silver-Plated Metal
· Era: Vintage (1960s - 1970s)
· Dimensions: Max. Width 18 cm x Depth 15 cm x Height 26 cm
· Condition: Good vintage condition. The glass is intact and shiny. The metal parts have the natural patina of age and surface oxidation typical of vintage silver-plated items, which can be polished or left for a worn look.
Notes for the Collector: A functional and classy object, perfect for serving water or cocktails during formal dinners or aperitifs. The spiral glass design makes it highly decorative even when not in use.
