The Imbuto lamp by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena stands out for its unique, minimalist design, featuring a refined steel stem that adds a touch of sophistication and luxury. Made with high-quality materials and impeccable craftsmanship, this lamp is designed to last, adding a touch of style and functionality to any environment. The name of this lamp clearly explains the inspiration behind its shape: a funnel. However, the only thing funnel-like about this object is its name. The lampshade is a metal cone that extends upwards thanks to a thin stem from which a wide halo of light emanates.Luigi Caccia Dominioni was one of Italy's leading architects and urban planners in the post-World War II period and one of the pioneers and founders of Italian design, a brilliant interpreter of the Milanese and Lombard tradition. He began his professional career immediately after graduating from the Milan Polytechnic in 1936, opening a studio in Porta Nuova together with his brothers Livio and Piergiacomo Castiglioni, dedicating himself to interior architecture, design, industrial design, competitions, and exhibitions. In particular, his work in the field of industrial design saw him become a “pioneer” at the VII Triennale di Milano with a series of radio sets designed with his brothers.
In 1947, together with Ignazio Gardella and Corrado Corradi Dell'Acqua, he founded the Italian brand Azucena, which has always stood out for its collections that combine formal elegance, luxury, pure and clear aesthetics, and the highest quality craftsmanship.
