Superior quality Italian Statuary marble, no discolouration very well carved corner blocks of flowers and foliage flank a stepped frieze. The jambs stood on separate foot blocks with raised moulded panels to front supporting the carved separate corner blocks. All beneath a slim and a generous shelf. A Pair available, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find pairs of these English fireplaces of this period.
