Chinese Terra Cotta/stoneware jar for the shipping of salted eggs. Early 20th century with earth glazes on heavy, thick walls with green/celadon glazed interiors. Heavyweight with no cracks and solid walls and bottom, one flaw in the glaze on the rim edge, not a crack. A dragon design is around the outer wall, slip applied decoration. The measurements are 17" in diameter and 18" tall. The rim is 2" wide. The mouth is 13.5" in diameter. The weight is approximately 40 pounds. See less
