Antique Persian tribal rug, size: 4'0"x 7'4".
This wildly colorful diamond design rug has the iconic #Jaf pattern. The Jaf are one of the best known Kurdish #weaving tribes and their rugs and bags often have 10,12, or even more distinct tones. The ecru sunburst inner border and the navy rosette outer stripe are Jaf #Kurd standbys. Jaf#rugs are much rarer than their saddlebags and this is an outstandingly attractive example worthy of any collector interested in tribal #rug weaving as an art.
