The forked goosenecks have shrunk, while the rosettes, here in three columns, have grown and the small background palmette-rosettes have filled in. Caucasian rugs were popular when this carpet was woven and an influence is clear. The minor borders are more in the Sultanabad Persian manner. The lighter palette is strictly Oushak, however.
