Stunning extra large opaline glass wall light/sconce designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld for Peill & Putzler (Germany, 1950s). Rare 2685 model ('Magna'). Opaline glass shade with metal base. Beautiful minimalist design & high quality. Creates a beautiful atmosphere (see pictures).
Wilhelm Wagenfeld was an important pioneer of modernist design. His timelessly simple designs are internationally recognized and have received many awards. A museum dedicated to Wagenfeld’s works as well as a design school named in his honor have been created in his hometown of Bremen.
Rewired (hardwired) and ready to use (US compatible). Requires 1x E26 light bulb. LED compatible. Height: 14.8''; width: 6.3''; depth (from wall): 4.5''. Very good vintage condition. Light wear.
