Its compact form and rich patina speak to centuries of use, offering a tangible connection to the era of global trade and exploration.  The chest includes seven smaller drawers and one wide drawer in the bottom.  In the middle is a cabinet door which opens to a magical little "room" with a tiled floor, mirrored walls and paintings of period characters.  A true gem! The later chinoiserie stand, added in the 18th century, France, introduces a striking cross-cultural dialogue. Influenced by Europe’s fascination with East Asian design, the stand features graceful proportions and decorative elements inspired by Chinese motifs, creating a visually compelling and historically layered piece.  There is a shelf in the bottom serving to display your favorite objets d'art.
