Vintage antique vases, jugs, or flowerpots by Eduardo Vega, Cuenca, Ecuador, circa 1960. Measurements: large jug 24cm high, 61cm diameter; small jug 14cm high, 50cm diameter. They are in perfect condition. Signed "Vega, Cuenca, Ecuador" on the base. A magnificent piece, designed and hand-sculpted, hand-painted, and fired; no two are alike. These ceramic vases or flowerpots by Eduardo Vega are in the Art Nouveau style. Considered a creative genius in his hometown of Cuenca, Ecuador, his studio has become a notable tourist attraction. These beautiful vases are typical of his functional pieces, hand-painted with a floral and animal design accentuated with various embellishments.
