The j. Lang armchair, designed in 1987 by philippe starck for driade aleph, is a striking, sculptural piece of furniture with a strong iconic character. The generously sized seat offers comfort, while the clear geometric form lends the armchair a serene, almost architectural presence.
the frame is made of cast aluminum and steel, upholstered in black leather.
signed "aleph by starck" on the underside of the aluminum base.
as an object, the j. Lang is less understated and more deliberately staged—a piece of furniture that invites not only use but also contemplation, significantly shaping the space through its powerful form. This piece has an attribution mark,
