It is … Read more This exceptional armchair is an iconic representative of the Art Deco style, manufactured in Czechoslovakia during the 1930s. It is a famous design by architect Jindřich Halabala for the renowned UP Závody, ranking among the most sought-after pieces of Central European modernism. The frame, crafted from solid beech, is finished with elegant walnut veneer, whose striking grain gives the chair its unmistakable character. A new french polish has been applied in a luxury finish to a one hundred percent high gloss, creating a deep, mirrored effect typical of the finest period furniture. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the armchair has been fully restored functionally with new professional spring upholstery. This was crafted using traditional methods to ensure maximum seating comfort while maintaining its authentic silhouette.
