This exceptional armchair is an iconic representative of the Art Deco style, manufactured in Czechoslovakia during the 1930s. It is a famous design by architect Jindřich Halabala for the renowned UP Závody, ranking among the most sought-after pieces of Central European modernism. The frame, crafted from solid beech, is finished with elegant walnut veneer, whose striking grain gives the chair its unmistakable character. The piece has undergone a demanding process of complete restoration, with primary focus on the wood surface treatment. A new french polish has been applied in a luxury finish to a one hundred percent high gloss, creating a deep, mirrored effect typical of the finest period furniture. This precise procedure has restored the armchairs original nobility and elegance, allowing it to stand out in any prestigious interior. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the armchair has been fully restored functionally with new professional spring upholstery. This was crafted using traditional methods to ensure maximum seating comfort while maintaining its authentic silhouette. The new upholstery fabric in a teal shade with a subtle texture harmoniously complements the dark tones of the walnut wood, emphasizing the overall luxurious feel of the piece. It has been re-polished with polyutherane piano lacquer by our professional refurbishing team in Czechia according to the original process. This item features classic Art Deco elements. Art Deco is a style that originated in France in the early 20th century. Its furniture designs are meticulously crafted, usually using exotic woods. Pieces are typically lacquered to give off a dazzling gloss. These eloquently crafted pieces will add visual performance and posh to any interior. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
