Executed in patinated brass, the bowl features a beautifully nuanced verdigris green surface enriched with gilded concentric ring decoration, creating a strong graphic rhythm typical of ikora’s experimental art deco production. The interior displays a mottled, painterly patina, while the exterior is finished in a darker, satin-toned surface. The bowl is raised on three sculptural feet, giving it a floating, architectural presence and reinforcing its function as a centerpiece or objet d’art. Retains original wmf / ikora marks and paper label to underside. An exceptional example of early 20th-century german decorative metalwork, balancing geometric modernism with artisanal surface treatment—highly collectible and increasingly rare. Condition: very good vintage condition. Minor surface wear, patina variation, and light marks consistent with age and original finish. Provenance: germany, circa 1930.
