Title: "Looking for a Contact Lens"
Medium: Artist Proof (A.P.) – Woodblock Print on Paper
Stanley J. Krupa was a well-known Mohawk Valley artist whose work was influenced by Abstract Expressionism and painters like Mark Rothko and Arshile Gorky. His paintings explore color, movement, and emotion in a bold yet thoughtful style.
He also owned his own gallery, the Steuben Park Art Gallery in Utica, New York, and his work is found in galleries and private collections around the world.
Stanley J. Krupa’s "Looking for a Contact Lens" shows his playful, abstract take on the human figure. A tangle of figures moves across a bold black background, with fine lines creating a sense of energy and motion.
