Up for sale is a very rare antique 18th century Indian wrought iron figural betel box.
It's wrought by hand out of thick iron and tooled with elaborate design throughout..
The box features a peacock mounted by the handle and turns when the box opens.
It has two compartments, is riveted together, and has acquired a lovely patina from age.
There is a mirror mounted to the top and inside of the bottom compartment that may have been added a bit later.
It's in nice antique condition and measures 12 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches tall.
