We purchased a house from a family that had owned it for 100 years through 3 generations. They were big antique collectors and left behind some treasures and this is one of them.
I know that in the late 1800s, early 1900s often blank porcelain was made (this was probably Austria and then artists would hand paint it. This is a signed painted open sugar bowl from an artist named Fixier. It has also been used as a small vessel for wildflowers but is also suitable as a trinket dish.
