Rare pair of 1940s Modernist vases by GAB (Guldsmedsaktiebolaget), Sweden. Crafted in brass with GAB's patented 'Ori' metal finish—a bronzed babbitt metal technique developed in the 1920s. Beautifully patinated with rich bronze tones and striking verdigris highlights that accentuate their sculptural form. These elegant pieces exemplify the restrained, streamlined aesthetic of the early 1940s, bridging the transition from Art Deco to Scandinavian Modernism.
Both vases bear the ORI mark and GAB's distinctive Vasa Sheaf maker's mark. This piece has an attribution mark,
