Mazzega, murano, in the 1950s. The composition is defined by a dynamic rhythm of thick, organically shaped colored fasce that rise vertically within the transparent body, creating a striking sense of depth and movement. This model was presented at the xi triennale di milano in 1957, a pivotal moment for italian post-war design, where murano glass reaffirmed its experimental and artistic role on an international stage. The vase perfectly reflects bianconi’s approach, balancing expressive freedom, chromatic intensity and rigorous control of form. The piece is signed “a.v. Mazzega murano” engraved on the base, confirming its authenticity. An important example of mid-century murano production, highly decorative yet conceptually refined, and well suited for both modern and classic interiors. The vase comes from the remaining stock of a historic italian gallery that ceased activity in the 1980s. Preserved in storage for decades, it retains the freshness and integrity typical of works kept outside the market for a long period, adding further historical and provenance value to this exceptional piece.
