Custom ordered Sherrill one-armed (Left Arm Facing) sofa/chaise with single loose cushion and 4 accent pillows, purchased through interior designer in 2004, in excellent condition and showing very little wear.
• Woven Jacquard abstract patterned upholstery fabric in shades of green, violet and warm beige or tan is in great condition, very little fading.
• 8-way handtied coil springs in excellent condition under seating. No sagging or bulging of webbing underneath - all is flat, taut and even due to the little use it's received. A PERFECT sofa to reupholster to your taste - only because the existing fabric and traditional look with it's skirting may want to be modified by the buyer.
• All foam padding on English style arm, inside back and cushion core is resilient and shaped to the frame's original amoeba form. Single long seating cushion is a 5" down-wrapped medium firm foam core with down envelope wrap adding 4" more inches to the height of cushion, for a total of 9" to sit on the 13.5" ish deck from floor - clean and in excellent condition.
• 1) arm cover sewn and 4) accent pillows stuffed with proprietary feather and fiber fill, also clean with little signs of use to the inner ticking/pillow forms.
• Kiln dried hardwood frame with hand-tied steel springs, block-and-dowel joinery. 2" legs screw in to threaded T-nuts positioned 2" from the finished edges at bottom, so without the skirt, sofa sits close to floor, the legs not visible. If restyled without the tailored skirt at time of reupholstering, it will be a well grounded, anchoring piece for any seating arrangements, lending the natural organic or "amoeba" shape so desired today for a modern but transitional look. Sofa is heavy and an extremely well made piece of furniture as only you'd expect from a designer piece by Sherrill Furniture.
