The flat surfaces are done in black lacquer, with brass moldings on either side of the frieze. The three mirrored plates are divided by mahogany tapered classical columns, each capped with bronze mounts of great detail and elegance. Made, of course, for a French drawing room, but could be otherwise used with American Federal furniture or English George III mahogany pieces. The mirror can rest on the mantle but could be hung by typical hangers. See less
