Beautiful vitrified cast ceramic sculpture (ceramic with added kaolin, also known as soft porcelain), entirely hand-decorated, depicting a lady in 19th-century dress with her hair tied with flowers while playing the piano. Created by the Austrian sculptor and artist Bertold Loffler for Michael Powolny's Wiener Keramic factory. Inside the sculpture is the letter "W" with the catalog number "285" handwritten in black underglaze, and the first Powolny factory mark engraved into the ceramic. It is barely visible because it is covered by the rich glaze, but easily recognizable.
