Rare and magnificent desk designed by Louis Van Teeffelen for Webe in 1952.
This is one of Louis van Teeffelen’s earliest designs and the piece that established his international reputation as a leading mid-century modern designer. Highly sought after by collectors, this desk is admired for its elegant lines, which form a beautiful balance between Italian minimalist influences and Danish organic design from the 1950s.
The desk is freestanding and features three drawers and an integrated bookshelf, allowing it to be placed freely in a room and viewed from all sides.
Condition
In good vintage condition with gentle signs of use consistent with age. There is a small hairline surface mark on the right tabletop (see pictures) and some minimal veneer wear to the outer edges, both discreet and barely noticeable in the overall view.
