Ceramic salt container by Swedish manufacturer Jie Gantofta. Designed by Anita Nylund in between 1950s and 1960s.
The container is characterised by its beautiful spherical shape. An additional decorative feature is a triangular hanging loop with a drilled hole.
The container has a flattened bottom, so it can also stand on its own. The main decorative motif consists of floral patterns with a folk Scandinavian character. The whole is complemented by a teak lid with a comfortable handle. The container is a very rare find.
On the bottom there is an embossed signature, number and a small handwritten symbol of the painter who created the pattern. The container is in very good vintage condition with minor signs of age and normal use.
