Lounge chair by Grete Jalk in teak with loose cushions. The cushions and foam have been replaced and are in very good condition.
Grete Jalk was one of the most renowned Scandinavian furniture designers. After an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker, she studied at the Danish Design School. In 1963, she won a competition with her Laminated Chair and achieved international acclaim. Today, many of her designs are in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
