Description: For sale is a striking vintage studio art pottery pitcher/ewer, signed by the artist "Sujate" (or Su Jate) on the side.

This piece features a dramatic Modernist form with an elongated neck and a high, arching handle. The body is decorated in a high-contrast black and white design using the sgraffito technique, where the white textured background is carved away to create the smooth black abstract curvilinear shapes. The design has an organic, fluid feel, reminiscent of stylized birds or wind.
