A beautiful set of four plates and 1 cake stand. Late 19th to early 20th century, featuring richly detailed classical pastoral figural medallions at the center of each plate.
Each plate is has a raised vine and grape border, surrounding a striking green central medallion depicting figures drawn from neoclassical and pastoral imagery.
Plates show small, evenly spaced marks consistent with original kiln or firing supports used during the glazing process, a normal and expected characteristic of antique glazed decorative wares. Additional light surface wear is consistent with age. No major cracks or repairs observed.
The set displays beautifully as a group, with variations contributing to its authentic antique character.
The cake stand is the only piece 5” tall.
