These 1952 knives feature faux ivory Bakelite acrylic handles with beautiful silver-plated overlay. The four-piece set is in excellent condition, featuring surgical steel blades and intricately designed handles.
Carvel Hall was founded in 1895 by Charles D. Briddell in Crisfield, MD with humble beginnings as a blacksmith shop that manufactured carts and farm equipment. In addition, they also made crab and oyster harvesting tools for local watermen and boatmen on Chesapeake Bay.
Vintage cutlery from this era requires hand-washing to preserve both the integrity of the materials and their aesthetic value.
