Stars like Hoot Gibson, Harry Carey, Tom Mix, and William S. Hart dominated the screen. But Western novels were also very popular - and here are three very good examples:' Hands Up!' by Albert M. Treynor, 1928, Dodd, Mead and Co, 288 pages, with a book stamp from J.W. Robinson store at the back cover. , 'Channing Comes Through', by Charles Alden Seltzer, 1927, Grosset & Dunlap, 429 pages (ads at the back), and another 'Hands Up!' by A.B. Macdonald's book features a flourishing handwritten inscription, likely from the 1920s. This is a great lot for collectors of the old West - and even the new West.
