Stars like Hoot Gibson, Harry Carey, Tom Mix, and William S. Hart dominated the screen. But Western novels were also very popular - and here are three very good examples:' Hands Up!' by Albert M. Treynor, 1928, Dodd, Mead and Co, 288 pages, with a book stamp from J.W. Robinson store at the back cover. , 'Channing Comes Through', by Charles Alden Seltzer, 1927, Grosset & Dunlap, 429 pages (ads at the back), and another 'Hands Up!' by A.B. Macdonald,.1927, A..L.Burt Company, 303 pages, illustrated with b/w glossy photos of Wild Bill Hickok, Bat Masterson, Pat Garret,, The James brothers, Belle Starr, Billy The Kid, and more. All three hardcovers are clean, bright, unmarked, without foxing or aging inside. All three also have varying degrees of modest cover wear, along the book edges. Macdonald's book features a flourishing handwritten inscription, likely from the 1920s. This is a great lot for collectors of the old West - and even the new West. It's hard to find 100-year-old books in conditions like these. We say "Yahoo! Ride-em Cowboys" to collectors of books like these. They will be sent together, carefully packed, with tracking. .
