On offer is a pair of vintage Neoclassical-style lamps, each featuring brass columns topped by a torchiere (upward-facing) white glass shade. This design style is also associated with Hollywood Regency decor from the mid-20th century.
The standout element showcased here are the grooved, Corinthian columns. Recognizable by its ornate capital traditionally formed to resemble the leaves of the acanthus plant, a Corinthian column always stands on a tiered base, as seen here. The lamps’ distinctive, bowl-shaped glass shades face upward. These glass bowls are the included "lamp shades" in this listing. This lamp feature purposefully bounces light off the ceiling for soft, diffused lighting that fills a room and minimizes harsh shadows. Who doesn’t want that for adding ambiance at home?
