Leopold von Stoll (1803–1884/1889), signed lower right “Stoll”.
The signature is consistent with documented shortened forms used by the artist on smaller and mid-period works. The composition, warm earthy palette, soft yet precise modelling of fruit surfaces, dark dramatic background and overall Biedermeier elegance (abundance with refined restraint) are entirely characteristic of Leopold von Stoll, a Vienna-based still-life specialist active in the 1830s–1870s.
