Artisans in Ishikawa, Japan, have applied the traditional “hakute-gaki morikomi” raised technique, layering authentic Kanazawa gold leaf (designated as a Traditional Craft of Japan in 1977), colored leaf, and metallic powders, creating a delicate and luminous expression.

Inspired by the works of Sakai Hōitsu, each motif is uniquely interpreted by skilled artisans to harmonize the essence of traditional Japanese culture with contemporary interior décor. The finely finished Tochi wood plate features a black-lacquered back and measures 30 × 30 × 4 cm (approx. 11.8 × 11.8 × 1.6 in), weighing 460 g.
