He was the cousin of two famous Russian artists but passed away before his art was exhibited in the states by his son who was also a scientist. art was something they both did extremely well just for fun In this autumnal scene the gray sky dominates the landscape, punctuated by subtle gradations of color to indicate fallen leaves and reflections of trees on the opposite shore of the water. The result is a peaceful vista of a moment in time where the last few leaves are yet to fall. See less
