This antique newly painted window surround from India is a unique handcrafted item featuring intricate painted details and vibrant colors in a folk art style. Its origin can be traced back to Rajasthan India, a region known for its rich history and cultural diversity. The paint has been purposefully distressed to give it a more aged look. Notice how the window shutters still operate, folding inward, and can be removed easily by lifting off their hinges.
Also, you might consider removing the 2 window panels, use them as wall art and install a mirror in their place. This heavy window surround weighs approximately 100 lbs and measures 62" high x 52" wide x 3.25" deep and comes with stout rings for hanging.
