This floor lamp was designed by French designer Jean Claude Laville (Design Studio dessins) in collaboration with Austrian architect Boris Podrecca exclusively for the Hotel Kempinski in Vienna.
He conceived this lighting in the Art Deco style.
It was handcrafted by Kalmar Vienna.
A total of six lamps were made for the large lobby lounge.
The very solid, handcrafted construction (approx. 30 kg) consists of chrome-plated brass, a solid Murano glass globe, and a glass lampshade (three of the six lamps have glass shades, the other three have metal shades).
Both the manufacturer's label and inventory number are present.
The lamps were disposed of following a change of ownership.
