The structure is based on a symmetrical, rectangular frame, in which both tops – upper and lower – are mounted on the same metal structure. The characteristic fluted legs taper gently towards the bottom, each ending with a small, spherical foot and topped with a decorative acanthus finial, which is a unique reference to neoclassical motifs and the Louis XVI style. The edges of the tops and shelves are finished with a wide, beaded molding. The whole piece is kept in a cool, silvery tone with a highly polished, mirror-like surface that emphasizes the sophistication of the design. The two levels of the top are made of transparent eglomise glass – precisely cut, smooth, and highly glossy. The joints between the individual elements are almost invisible, confirming the attention to detail characteristic of French craftsmanship of the mid-20th century. The top shelf is 21.5 inches high, and the total height to the top of the finials is 23.5 inches; the bottom shelf is 9.5 inches high. Original condition, with minimal signs of use – there is a single small scratch visible on the lower top. The table has retained all its original elements and finish, being an example of very good vintage.
