Its form resembles a miniature cabinet – a metal structure with rectangular proportions, equipped with a single hinged door with a metal handle and two mounting brackets at the top for hanging on the wall. The matte, cream-colored surface with a slightly yellowed tint contrasts with the bold black lettering ‘JACOBS KAFFEE’ and a decorative black frame, emphasizing the geometric art deco character of those years. The center of the front features the brand's emblem, stylized as a heraldic shield surrounded by a gear motif, and the side panel is decorated with the inscription ‘Selecter Qualität’ in flowing cursive. The metal, probably galvanized sheet metal, bears subtle signs of use - minor scratches, paint abrasions, and small chips, revealing its authentic, long-term use. The whole is preserved in very good vintage condition, with a picturesque patina emphasizing the historical value of the exhibit. The form of this object places it in the interwar period, when shop counters and display windows became a place for stories about everyday tastes and dreams. The metal can, with its clear, graphic lettering and noticeably solid body, evokes the eclectic optimism of the 1930s: a time when even advertising tools had to be durable and decorative. The patina and signs of use speak of hundreds of mornings when Jacobs coffee awakened the senses – this canister bears traces of the buzz of shop conversations and the soft light of shop windows in the morning. It can be placed on an open shelf in the living room or kitchen, combined with classic porcelain or a collection of other vintage tins, enhancing the character of an eclectic or retro interior. It also works well as a central accent on a dark wood shelf, where its geometric rhythm and color contrast can be emphasized with side lighting. In loft or industrial arrangements, it is worth displaying it alongside old posters or metal accessories, incorporating it into the collectible narrative of the space. No detailed dimensions or care instructions are provided; only dry or slightly damp cloths are recommended for cleaning so as not to damage the historic paint coating and patina. See less
