Born in 1939 in Oberlenningen, Germany, Daumiller became widely recognized for his work with Danish manufacturers, most notably GUBI, and for his strong contribution to Scandinavian modernism during the 1970s.

The chairs are crafted in solid pine and exemplify Daumiller’s iconic brutalist aesthetic, characterized by sculptural, rounded forms and an honest celebration of natural materials. The organically shaped seats and wide curved backrests provide both comfort and a powerful visual presence, while the robust cylindrical legs emphasize durability and craftsmanship.

These chairs are closely related to the celebrated Daumiller Chair, which was produced at Hirtshals Sawmill (Hirtshals Savværk) in Denmark during the 1970s.
