Designed by karen r ford in 2005, this piece was inspired by a 19th-century ruskin pottery vase exhibited at the victoria and albert museum’s international arts and crafts exhibition.

the vase has a tall, elegant form with a domed cover and is finished in a rich graduated glaze, transitioning from deep red to purple at the base. A well-executed example of poole pottery’s contemporary production, combining historic arts and crafts inspiration with modern manufacture.
