Unique vase designed by Mari Simmulson for Upsala-Ekeby, Sweden, most likely dating from the 1960s. The vase features an elegant, slightly tapered form and a richly textured glaze in earthy tones of grey, beige, and warm brown with subtle horizontal movement. A one-of-a-kind piece that clearly reflects Simmulson’s expressive design language and the character of mid-century Scandinavian ceramics. A highly decorative and collectible object.
Signed to the base. The glaze is partially missing along the upper rim and inside. Crazing inside. See photos. This piece has an attribution mark,
