A timeless settee in the Louis XVI taste, dating from the 19th century with painted wood frame sheltering the upholstered interior of three down-feather seat cushions, tight seatback, and two side panels. In classic 18th century fashion, the straight rail across the upper back makes a clean silhouette that is open and inviting, sloping down the low arms cushioned with little manchette upholstered pads to rest one's elbows, enclosing a slightly bowed seat deck. Fluted and rosette carvings at the corners transition into the short, tapered legs. Note that the settee is currently covered in a white muslin fabric on the interior with exposed tacks ready for its next look in the new fabric of your choosing or left untouched for that casually elegant lifestyle.
