This amalgamation consists of a satin ribbon tied in a bow, leading down to an entanglement of multiple, symbolic elements of unclear significance. Below these sculptural elements is the trumeau's original mirror glass, appearing hazy from the dark foxing to beautifully complement the (patinated) gold gilt trim. A painted back panel in weathered celadon green imbues the work with an air of tranquility to inspire a moment of reflection in any room, quite literally and figuratively.
