The work surface is a slab of pink marble with traces of charcoal veining and areas of dark patina from over a century of use. This rosy pastel hue is complemented by the dusty blue paint on the case that makes quite a transformation of the familiar Louis Philippe silhouette. While the front of the case is an attractive paneled design, the back offers two drawers (one divided) over an open compartment with a shelf for storage.
