Beautiful in its simplicity and monochromatic palette, the work highlights the gathering of fabric in her voluminous gown, the waves of her hair, and the dancer's grace suggest her outstretched arms. An understated giltwood frame draws the viewer in for a closer look, however there is some loss to the molding at the upper left corner.
