Their Neoclassical styling is particularly evident in the pairs of lion faces on each side of the lamp bases, clutching rings in their teeth. The patinated metal reveals patches of brass alloy underneath the remaining silverplate which adds intrigue to the surface, defined at the shoulders and pedestals of the urns with rings of foliate motifs. Bell-shaped lampshades in ivory silk are trimmed with layers of blush and gold braided cords around the edges adding to the grandeur. The lamps have been professionally wired to US electrical standards adding in-line switches on the braided fabric cords, illuminated by medium-base lightbulbs. Please view the detailed images.
