The rounded cornice softens the impressive scale and height of the case, seeming to rise on quarter-round fluted pilasters at the corners outlined in ribbon-twist carvings to frame two paneled doors. Another line of ribbon-twist carvings outline the different panels of the doors: a narrow foliate motif along the top sits over two rectangular panels given further definition by egg & dart carvings. The doors open by working lock and key to reveal an interior fitted with two shelves, 13 ¾" deep. In the base section (behind the locking doors) there is one shelf over two small drawers similar to a linen press, measuring 17" deep.
