This spectacular lightbox with Mao Tse Tung's (Mao Zedong) silkscreen reversed painting on acrylic is a reinterpretation of the iconic Andy Warhol's design. The rare piece was crafted in the United States circa 1970. It features a drum-shaped lightbox metal framing with off-white enamel. The stunning oversized illuminated Pop-Art portrait of Mao Tse-Tung is a tribute to Andy Warhol's Mao silkscreen portrait created in 1972. Two pieces with serigraphy printed acrylic front fitting over a rear metal drum box with an updated LED light fixture. There is no visible designer's mark.
The lightbox is in good condition, with minor scratches on the metal lightbox enamel, mainly located at the rear edge of the lightbox and on its lower side. Check the close-up view.
